The results of our 2011 Broker Survey

At CFC, we constantly strive to do our very best for all of our brokers and policy-holders. So to find out how we were doing, we decided to go straight to the source and ask our brokers how we ranked compared to other insurers they work with. We wanted to share what our respondents had to say.

We had an overwhelmingly positive response. Included in our best performing categories was our speed of quote response and speed of policy documentation which were found to be better or much better than competitors by 89% and 88% of respondents, respectively. In additional, we had a clean record on the accuracy of our policy documentation, which 100% of respondents said was either the same or better than the competition.

But the results seemed to be great across the board. We also ranked well in the friendliness and breadth of relationship with staff categories, as well as the flexibility and breadth of cover categories, which 71% and 86% of brokers said was better or much better than other insurers, respectively.

When asked what they’d like to see from CFC in 2012, brokers were most interested in an in-depth company brochure, a contact directory, access to an online quote and bind system, and continuous policies with no fixed renewal date. We’ve already taken these suggestions on board. Our in-depth company brochure is currently being designed and we’ve been actively planning ways to greatly increase access to our bespoke online quote and bind platform over the next year.

Although the responses were very positive overall, we don’t want to be just your average underwriting agency. We’re happy that this survey also pointed out some things that we can improve upon and we’ll be trying extra hard to act on these areas over the next year.
