CFC Underwriting appoints Irish business development manager
October 2005: CFC Underwriting has appointed David Shaw as Business Development Manager for Ireland. David joins the business from Coyle Hamilton Willis where he has spent the past seven years as a broker specialising in developing new business in the professional indemnity and cyber-liability markets.
Commenting on the appointment CFC's Managing Director, David Walsh, says: "CFC has been active in the Irish market for several years and I believe there is significant potential to grow our business further, so I'm delighted David has accepted the post of Business Development Manager for Ireland. He has a tremendous knowledge of both the Irish insurance market and the technology sector, and I'm confident that he will prove an invaluable addition to the CFC team."
David Shaw adds: "CFC has developed a solid reputation in Ireland over recent years, and there is a growing need for its products. Technology companies are facing an ever-increasing level of exposure as the litigious nature of our society grows, yet less than half of them have any professional indemnity cover. Also, many businesses today are dependent on internet connectivity but their traditional insurance policies fail to cover them from the risks of malicious attacks on their systems. CFC offers both of these markets a superb product: TechProtect for technology companies and Esurance for companies that rely on technology"
