CFC’s Cyber Threat Analysis team wins Customer Care Award
We're excited to announce that CFC's Cyber Threat Analysis team was awarded Customer Care Solution of the Year at this years’ Insurance Times Claims Excellence Awards
The dynamic nature of cyber risk and the ability of cybercriminals to evolve means that cyber-attacks are constantly changing in the techniques used to infiltrate computer systems and compromise businesses. In response to this, CFC created the Cyber Threat Analysis (CTA) team, an industry first for proactive cyber insurance.
The team are solely dedicated to monitoring the cyber environment for potential threats or client vulnerabilities. They can identify critical risks, alert businesses, and mitigate the issue before an attack can arise. Protecting businesses' assets before they even know a threat is looming, saving them time, energy and money.
In the time the team has been active they’ve:
- Stopped over 100 ransomware attacks equating to tens of millions of pounds in saved potential losses
- Detected over 600 specific malware cases, manually alerting each customer and delivering relevant mitigation tactics to solve the problem
- Identified almost 5,000 customers with vulnerabilities and manually alerted them to the potential threat
- Detected over 7,000 customers with open RDP ports and deployed an automated process to alert them to their ‘open door’
