CFC started back in 1999 as one of the most ambitious and forward-thinking online insurance businesses of the dotcom boom. Here we are, almost 20 years later, and we are proud of our achievements. We have been a major pioneer in the emerging risk space and we are a full-service, specialist insurance provider with a global customer base.
I believe that we have been successful because we have stuck to the same, deep-rooted business principles that powered our start-up back in 1999: driving change in our industry; simplifying specialist insurance; continually improving our products, services and systems; investing fearlessly in new technology; becoming the employer of choice in our markets; and creating deep, lasting relationships with our partners by always being decent and doing the right thing.
But, most of all, we believe in hard work and having fun. Insurance is a serious business, but we don’t want to be too corporate or take ourselves too seriously. CFC is 60% owned by our employees, so it shouldn’t be surprising that we are passionate about our business and that we really care about our customers.
